Support and information for carers
Tilehurst Surgery are working together with Berkshire Carers Service to offer support to patients of any age who have caring responsibilities.
Do you look after someone who is ill, frail, disabled, has mental health problems or misuses drugs or alcohol, are you parents of children with learning difficulties or a young person looking after parents or other family members?
Many people do not see themselves as carers, they are simply someone's parent, child or friend, but in reality 1 in 10 of us are carers. We know this can have an effect on both the carers health and finances and caring may be a 24/7 job that can be demanding and isolating. Reading & West Berkshire Carers Hub will be able to connect you with the relevant organisations and support networks. They offer advice and support and you will also receive regular information sent directly to you. They can be contacted on 0118 324 7333 or visit their website www.berkshirecarershub.org
If you are a carer (or being cared for) click on the 'please let us know' link below, so we can update our records here at Tilehurst Surgery.
We are always here please let us know - we may be able to help you.
